Routerbits in action
Here we listed some general information and tips for the proffesional use of each routerbit we sell. For any further questions about the use of our diamond stone carving tools, please contact us via Contact Us page.
20 degree sintered diamond stone carving tools.
Feeds and speeds for hard granite, using 1.8 KW spindle:
feed 7 mm/sek, plunge rate 2 mm/sek, pass depth 2.2 mm, spindle 18000 rpm.
Programming tips:
Use 90 degree bit settings to win machining time (however this causes carving line smoothening).
Other:
Set material zero a bit higher (about 0.5 mm) to avoid too bold lines. As diamond tools' cutting edge diameter is quite big (3 mm for 20 degree bit). NB! cooling must be used.

Feeds and speeds for hard granite, using 1.8 KW spindle:
feed 8 mm/sek, plunge rate 2.5 mm/sek, pass depth 2.2 mm, spindle 15000 rpm.
Programming tips:
Check the stepover rate. To achieve fine engraving quality the stepover rate cannot be over 2 mm for 8 mm routerbit.
Other:
Not possible to use for very fine line carving, cutting edge diameter is too big. NB! cooling must be used.
